About Dr. Palmateer
Dr. Daniel Palmateer is a Familiy Physician from Canton, NY. He is certified as a Senior FAA AME, and has been providing Class I, II, and III Aviation Medical Exams in Northern New York since 1998. A private pilot himself, he enjoys helping pilots navigate the FAA flight physical requirements so they can stay healthy and continue doing what they love.Appointments

Pricing
- Class I, II, III Exams - $150
- Class I with EKG - $225
- Note: Aviation Medical Exams are considered occupational screenings and are not the same as a complete physical exam performed by your own physician. During an FAA Aviation Medical Exam, Dr. Palmateer is not treating you for a medical condition. The purpose of the FAA AME is to ensure that you, the pilot, satisfy the standards set forth in the Code of Federal Regulations.
Exam Process
- Pilot registers online via the FAA’s MedXPress System.
- Pilot makes an appointment with FAA Senior AME Dr. Palmateer by calling 315-386-8184.
- At the appointment, Dr. Palmateer will review your MedXPress application and perform a physical exam.
- If standards are met, Dr. Palmateer will issue your Airman Medical Certificate on the spot. If not, he will discuss feasibility and next step actions for pursuit of a possible FAA Waiver.
